The service
FileTransferBox lets you upload files and share them with a link or by email. Free transfers can be up to 10 GB and last 1, 3 or 7 days. Links and files are deleted automatically when they expire, and expired files cannot be recovered.
Your files
You keep all rights to the files you send. You give us permission to store and deliver them only so the transfer works. Please keep your own copy: FileTransferBox is for sending files, not for backup.
What you may not send
- Anything illegal, including content that sexually exploits children.
- Malware, viruses or anything designed to harm devices.
- Files you do not have the right to share, such as pirated films or software.
- Spam, phishing or content meant to harass or threaten someone.
We may remove a transfer and block access if we believe it breaks these rules, and we may report illegal content to the authorities. To report a transfer, email support@filetransferbox.com.
Paid plans and refunds
Pro ($3.99) and Business ($9.99) are one-time PayPal payments that each cover one month. Nothing renews automatically. Your plan is linked to the email address you pay with and is usually active within 24 hours. If something goes wrong or you change your mind within 14 days of paying, email support@filetransferbox.com and we will refund you in full.
Fair use
To keep the service fast for everyone, we limit how many transfers one address can create in a short time. We may change plan limits in the future, but we will never reduce the limits of a month you have already paid for.
No guarantee
We work hard to keep FileTransferBox running, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for lost files, lost profits or indirect damages. Our total responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make an important change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Using FileTransferBox after a change means you accept the new terms.
